ABOUT TARRARAY

After being suddenly widowed I moved to my favourite place of Iluka. Since this time I have purchased in Brisbane to be closer to friends, Dog shows and Dog sporting activities and I am currently sharing my home between NSW and QLD, though the majority of my shows are in Qld. 

I breed minimally as an ANKC dog breeder and now have a small show team that I’m having a lot of fun with. I cannot thank my friends enough for their support for without them I don’t think I’d be doing what I love -my dogs.

Now it's just me and the fur kids enjoying life and travelling the country.  
Currently, I have Groenendaels and Tervuerens.

HISTORY OF TARRARAY

It just happened that when I met my late husband Wayne, I had a lovely Belgian cross Collie named Tara. Unfortunately we lost her to someone baiting in the area. Of course being a dog person and a vet nurse, I had to have a dog almost immediately, so along came Matilda. Wayne and I were married in February 1998, and travelled south to Adelaide. Whilst there we attended a very large dog show and ended up with Darce for 2 weeks on our honeymoon.  Our first Belgian and my heart Breed. 

WHAT DOES TARRARAY MEAN ? 

Tarraray was derived from Tara, my first Belgian cross and Ray, my father who we have lost to cancer.

BREEDING PHILOSOPHY

My first litter was May 2000, and are extremely proud of this litter. Since then I have gone from strength to strength in the show ring with Multiple In Show, In Group and Class in Show wins.  We breed for health, temperament and type. We are an exclusive small kennel with a selective breeding programme.

VISION

Tarraray’s vision is to breed Belgian Shepherds, first and foremost, with wonderful characters, followed by true type that can excel in all areas of the dog arenas. Health is a major concern to Tarraray wich I ensure I do the best possible to test and avoid any health issues within the breed.  I have completed my original vision by winning big in the show ring in Australia. I have trained dogs for use in Delta work and Animal Assisted Therapy. Most importantly, my vision is not to loose touch with the fun I can have with my dogs and to continue loving, spending time with my dogs, travelling the countryside, showing my dogs, participating in dog sports and enjoying my family and friends.
